Campaign Component Analysis

Pick a fundraising campaign that was successful and analyze it. Here’s what to include:

  1. Define the Mission and Goals:
Explain what the campaign wanted to achieve and why. Make sure the goals are clear and specific — think SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound).
  2. Identify the Target Audience:
Who was the campaign meant for? Describe the people the campaign aimed to reach and why they were important for its success.
  3. Outline the Strategies:
Describe the methods used to raise money. Did they run events, use social media, or ask for monthly donations? Show how they mixed different approaches to reach more people.
  4. Storytelling and Emotional Connection:
Explain how the campaign told stories to connect with donors’ emotions. Stories make people care — highlight how the campaign used them to inspire action.
  5. Key Takeaways:
Summarize what made the campaign work. Share lessons that could help create other successful campaigns in the future.

Deliverable: Write a 3-5 page report with sources if needed.
